Originally a bishoujo game, wildly popular in Japan. Animation was aired some time in 2006. You probably have watched it. It's setting is neo-apocalypse world, occupied by two forces, the Black Lounge (from H.P. Lovercraft), and the other family I can't think of the name right now. The main ecchi comes from the "magic books" such as Necrominicon and several other legendary texts. These books take on humanoid from, and are all girls, and I don't have to tell you why... anyways, a pretty serious series.

Couple candidates. The summary will be as easy as it can get. Before I started. These series are no where bad, or at least can't be that bad. These have either serialized in Dengeki, or Asuka, and published by kadokawa shoten or some other form of major publication in Japan.
Angel Foyson (4 completed, 3 Chinese I THINK).
About a guy who since little have this weird ability to transfer his "yang" energy with the "Yin" energy, thus made him prone to sickness. One day, this black wing angel appears in his dream, and suddenly he can live normal again. Then she appears in real life, and tells him that he is her "food." That's about it.

Ohma ni Doki Doki (4+ in Chinese not sure in japanese...)
About a guy who lost both parents, and lives with his older sister. As a guy in his growing period, he gets excited a lot when he is with his sister. It's only natural for a guy his age. And When he does blush, he lose control of his heartbeat, and it will create a weird phenomenon to summon aliens, and his sister transforms and fights the aliens. Turns out his sister is a space cop. Later volumes at more character, to make him blush more... well you get the idea.
Eng Status: Some group release some first few chapters 3 years ago. that's about it.
Robot Maid (tentative name... 2 Chinese, not sure about Japanese...)
put it shortly, kind of like chobits. but instead a good girl like chii, the maid get on her master's nerve. This guy buys a maid hoping to dress her in "moe-ness" but the maid unexpectedly refuses and does a lot of bad things... but he still loves her anyways. (Extreme Ecchi suggested 18+ on Chinese retail... Close to Sekirei i'd say... So tits may show).

Magic Bride (? tentative name... 3+ in Chinese not sure about Japanese...)

Harem basically. this guy needs help to get exorcist, and he gets protection from this girl. But he has a sister who has oni-chan complex. Hilarious stuff. Usual comedy ecchi.

The Kingdom of San d'Oria -- Populated by Elvaan, who are adept in the ways of knight and excell in close range combat. A proud race, and a marvelous city with castles and chateaus sitatuated in the west forest of Ronfaure.
The Republic of Bastok -- Populated by Hume, who are a race with all-around intellegence, but excels in trades. The city is also populated by Galkas who are mostly employed by the Hume to do hard-labor works that work in the dangerous mines around Bastok. The abundance of natural resources around Bastok made it a prosperous city.
The Federation of Windurst -- Populated by Tarutaru, who excels in the art of magic. They also hire mercenaries called Mithras (cat girls) to protect the cities. The famous land sight in Windurst is the Star Tree which is the home of Star Sybel, the ruler of Windurst. Over time, Tarutaru and Mithras developed a close bond and mutual friendships.
The Grand Duche of Jeuno -- a neutral town (much like Switzerland), populated by adventurers and the rich from all over the world. It's location made it a prime stop for merchants and made it a very properous city. The city itself is built on sea with bridges connecting it to the land. The Grand Duche also controls the operation of Airships which can take you to other cities and Kazham island in a blink of eye.
